DoseDue Privacy Policy

Effective date: 6 November 2026

DoseDue is a medication-management application. It is not a medical provider, emergency service, or substitute for professional medical advice.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how DoseDue handles information when you use the DoseDue mobile application and related services.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information

We may collect your first name, last name, date of birth, email address, and preferred language.

We may also process authentication information and sign-in identifiers, together with account status, account creation time, verification status, and certain session and security information.

Medication and health-related information you choose to enter

This may include medication names, medication form, dose, schedule, treatment dates, condition or instructions, stock information, and refill information.

It may also include dose events such as taken, missed, skipped, snoozed, or undone, together with medication history and repeated treatment courses.

Device and technical information

We may collect device and operating-system information, app version, language, timezone, diagnostic and security logs, notification permission status, and information required to provide medication reminders.

Location and time-zone information

DoseDue requires location access during account registration and may re-check location while the app is in use so it can determine the time zone needed to calculate medication times accurately.

The device location is used to resolve a time-zone identifier. DoseDue stores the original time-zone location associated with your account and, if your time zone changes, may store the current location override and an adjusted future dose time while preserving the original scheduled dose time for history and audit purposes.

DoseDue does not need to retain raw latitude or longitude for this scheduling purpose and does not use this feature for continuous background location tracking.

Because location-based time-zone resolution is required for DoseDue V1 scheduling, account registration cannot be completed if location access is denied, restricted, or unavailable.

Camera and OCR

If you choose to scan a medication label or prescription, DoseDue may access the camera and process the image for text recognition.

Camera access is used only when you initiate a scan.

3. How we use information

We use information to create and secure your account, provide medication schedules and reminders, record doses, track stock and refills, preserve medication history, and provide export functionality.

We may also use information to provide standard notifications and Critical Alerts for follow-up reminders relating to medication doses whose status remains unresolved, subject to your settings and the permissions granted by your operating system.

Information may also be used to verify age eligibility and prevent users under 18 from registering, maintain service reliability, prevent abuse, investigate errors, protect account security, and manage subscriptions, entitlements, and advertising where applicable.

Location-derived time-zone information is used to establish the original medication schedule and, when your time zone changes, calculate a dose-time override for future unresolved doses without replacing the original scheduled time.

4. Privacy Policy review and consent

Before creating an account, DoseDue requires you to open and review this Privacy Policy and then actively confirm your agreement.

DoseDue may record the date and time when the policy was viewed and the date and time when consent was given for compliance, audit, and consent-record purposes.

5. Third parties and service providers

We may use trusted external service providers to operate certain DoseDue functions, including authentication and sign-in services, data hosting and databases, subscription management, advertising, operating-system services, and notifications.

The minimum amount of information necessary may be shared with these providers to deliver the relevant service and to operate and protect DoseDue.

6. Advertising

The free version of DoseDue may display advertisements.

Advertising services may process certain device or advertising identifiers and limited app-interaction information in accordance with device permissions and applicable privacy settings.

DoseDue does not use the medication details you enter to create personalized advertising content.

7. Notifications and Critical Alerts

DoseDue uses notifications to remind you about scheduled medications and refills.

Critical Alerts, when enabled and permitted on your device, are used only for follow-up reminders associated with medication doses whose status remains unresolved.

When a dose is recorded as taken, DoseDue will attempt to cancel any remaining related follow-up alerts where technically possible.

8. Data retention and deletion

If you request deletion of your account, DoseDue may place your account and associated records into a 30-day pending-deletion period before permanent deletion.

If the account is restored during that period, the deletion process may be cancelled.

Certain records relating to security, fraud prevention, billing, or legal requirements may be retained where necessary to satisfy legitimate legal or operational obligations.

9. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

10. Your choices and rights

You can review and update supported profile and medication information.

You can also control notification permissions through your device settings and request deletion of your account through the supported account-deletion flow.

You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, or exercise any other rights available under applicable law.

11. Users under 18

DoseDue is intended for users aged 18 and older.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when DoseDue or our data-processing practices change.

The updated version will display a new effective date.

Where required, we may ask you to review and consent to material changes before continuing to use certain services.
